Wonderful Wednesday

Today Justin called :) To keep you all updated this past week he has been busy processing all of his paperwork it's the US govt so you can only imagine. He said that when he's not going over insurance or payroll they are sitting in a classroom or eating. He's up at 4:30 every morning and in bed by 9:00pm. He will be starting his actual basic training tomorrow and his infantry training will be immediately following that so instead of 9 weeks he will be doing 14 weeks and have 2 graduations in July. Next week I should be getting information in the mail that has his address so I will post that for anyone that would like to write letters or send any packages to him. I told him about the blog since he said that he can't check email yet. He wanted me to let everyone know that he is doing good and misses us all and sends his love.

Monday Monday

It's been a week since i've seen or talked to Justin. Fortunately Sarah found Ft. Bennings page on Facebook and we've been able to somewhat follow what's going on. There were pictures from the reception process posted but none of Justin :( From what I can gather looks like his basic graduation will be around June 3rd, hopefully I will receive some further instruction via snail mail soon. I've sent 3 emails to Justin so far with no reply back so I gather he hasn't been granted access to email at this time. As soon as I get updates I will post more.

Day 1 the countdown begins...

Today was definitely a day of mixed emotions, I stood by my husband with camera in hand, tears rolling down my face wanting nothing more than to hug and kiss him. In my moment of not wanting to let go and say goodbye...I was the most proud i've ever been. I would have never imagined my life being a military spouse but the pride and honor that I feel is beyond words. I'm not sure what this new journey in our lives will bring but I welcome it.
